Terms and conditions

Last updated:

This document is a draft and is still being reviewed. The terms in your written quote and booking confirmation apply to your booking.

These terms apply to private tours, transfers and chauffeur services provided by SwissAlpira, Hochwachtstrasse 3, 8135 Langnau am Albis (“we”, “us”). Any specific terms set out in your quote or booking confirmation take precedence over these general terms.

Enquiries and quotes

Sending a request through this website, by telephone or by WhatsApp is an enquiry. It does not create a booking or any obligation for either side.

We reply with a written quote describing the service, the vehicle, the route or programme and the price. A quote is valid for the period stated in it and is subject to availability until the booking is confirmed.

How a booking is made

A booking is made only when you accept our quote and we confirm the booking to you in writing, by email or message. The booking confirmation states the agreed service, the price, the payment terms and the cancellation terms.

Prices and payment

Prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) per vehicle unless stated otherwise. The quote states what is included, for example fuel, tolls, parking and the driver’s time.

Tickets for railways, cable cars, boats and attractions, meals and entrance fees are not included unless your quote expressly says so.

Payment methods and due dates are stated in your booking confirmation. No payment is taken through this website.

Waiting time, delays and changes on the day

For airport pickups, please give us your flight number so that the pickup can be planned around your arrival, and tell us about any significant delay. The waiting time included in the price is stated in your quote; additional waiting time may be charged as stated there.

On a private tour, the timings and stops may be adjusted on the day by agreement, within the time booked. Extending the booked time is possible subject to the driver’s availability and may be charged additionally.

We may adjust a route for reasons of safety, weather, road closures or traffic. Where a mountain excursion or pass road is not possible, we will suggest an alternative.

Passengers and luggage

Please tell us the correct number of passengers, the amount of luggage and any bulky items when you enquire, so that we can provide a suitable vehicle. We may refuse to carry passengers or luggage beyond the agreed capacity or the vehicle’s legal limits.

Seat belts must be worn at all times. Children must travel in a child seat suitable for their age and size, as required by Swiss law; tell us the number and ages of children so that we can provide them.

Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle. The driver may refuse or stop a journey if a passenger’s behaviour endangers safety. Damage caused to the vehicle by passengers, including exceptional soiling, may be charged.

Cancellation

Cancellation and changes by you, or by us, are covered by our cancellation policy and by the cancellation terms stated in your booking confirmation.

Liability

We carry out every journey with due care. Our liability is governed by Swiss law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses such as missed connections or onward bookings caused by circumstances outside our control, including traffic, weather, road closures, accidents, or the late arrival of a flight or train. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or for personal injury.

Railways, cable cars, boat operators and attractions are independent providers. Their own terms apply to their services.

Passengers are responsible for their luggage and valuables. Please check the vehicle for personal belongings at the end of the journey.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Langnau am Albis, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction for consumers.
