Mount Pilatus above Lake Lucerne
Description
Mount Pilatus rises straight above Lucerne, and this private day takes you to the top and back into the city.
A cable car carries you up to the summit, where the Dragon’s Path runs along the cliffs. In summer you return by the world’s steepest cogwheel railway to Alpnachstad and cross Lake Lucerne by boat to the city; at other times the descent follows the same route as the way up.
The day ends with a guided walk through Lucerne: the old town, its cobbled lanes and the Chapel Bridge.

Pickup
Collection at your hotel in Zurich and drive towards Lucerne and Mount Pilatus.
Up Mount Pilatus
A cable car ride to the summit, with the Alps unfolding around you. On the mountain there are outdoor activities such as the toboggan run.
At the top
The Dragon’s Path, a walkway along the cliffs with wide views, short walks and the caves inside the mountain.
Down by cogwheel railway
In summer, the world’s steepest cogwheel railway takes you down to Alpnachstad through streams and rock. At other times the descent follows the same route as the ascent.
Cruise on Lake Lucerne
In summer, a boat across Lake Lucerne to the heart of the city.
Lucerne
A guided walk through the historic centre, its cobbled lanes and the Chapel Bridge, before the drive back to your hotel.
