Description
This private day combines three classics of Central Switzerland: Mount Rigi, known as the Queen of the Mountains, a cruise on Lake Lucerne and the historic centre of Lucerne.
Your driver takes you to Vitznau on the lake shore, about 50 minutes from Zurich. From there the cogwheel railway climbs Mount Rigi; after the descent a boat crosses the lake to Lucerne, where the day ends among the city’s landmarks before the drive back.
The tour is private, so the pace is yours: more time for views and photos, or an earlier return if you prefer.

Pickup
Collection at your hotel and a drive of about 50 minutes to Vitznau on Lake Lucerne.
Vitznau and Mount Rigi
From the lakeside village of Vitznau, the cogwheel railway climbs to the top of Mount Rigi, with wide views over the lake and the Alps.
Cruise to Lucerne
Back in Vitznau, the pier is right in front of the station. The cruise across Lake Lucerne, the Lake of the Four Cantons, takes about 50 minutes.
Lucerne
The Jesuit Church, the painted Chapel Bridge, the old town and the Lion Monument, the memorial to the Swiss Guards who died during the French Revolution.
Return
Drive back to your hotel, about 50 minutes. Travel times are part of the tour duration, and the timing can be adjusted to your pace.
