Description
Two countries in one private day: the traditions of Appenzell in eastern Switzerland and the small principality of Liechtenstein.
In Appenzell you taste the cheese whose recipe has been handed down for more than 700 years and stroll through a village of painted house fronts. In Vaduz you see the castle of the princely family and can have your passport stamped. A visit to the Läderach House of Chocolate ends the day on a sweet note.
Your driver-guide takes care of the route and timing, and the day adapts to your pace wherever possible.

A self-guided visit: the history of Appenzeller cheese, its secret herbal brine and how it is made, with a tasting of several varieties.
Appenzell village
Colourful painted façades, artisan shops and time for lunch in a traditional restaurant, at your own expense.
Vaduz, Liechtenstein
The capital of the principality, between Switzerland and Austria. You can have your passport stamped at the tourist office and see Vaduz Castle, home of the princely family, from the best viewpoints. The castle is not open to visitors.
Läderach House of Chocolate
See how premium Swiss chocolate is made, taste it and create your own chocolate bar.
